Bastrop County Volunteer Fireman's Benefir Bull Riding
When:
Saturday, November 19, 2011 (All day) in Smithville, TXAs you are well aware, Bastrop County Texas has experienced quite a setback this year due to the raging
forest fires. Several of the 9 volunteer departments are in need of funds to replace or repair equipment
that was used in fighting these fires. There are about 220 firefighters serving in these 9 departments,
and 13 of them lost their own homes while they were fighting fires in other areas. Some of these
departments are now in the position that if they had a serious circumstance in their given area, they
would have to call in outside help to assist them, as they may no longer have the needed equipment.
We realize that these are tough economic times for many, but the fact remains that we all need these
great people and their departments. This fire is the worst forest fire in Texas history and now some of
these local departments are in some real need. So please come out and help support these men and women that helped some many others during their time of need.
